The prime objective of Dhaka International University is to offer high quality education at undergraduate and post graduate levels in coherence with the needs of the society of the 21st century. The aim of the University is not only just to go through the examination, but to train them to become productive members of the society.

The Department has a good number of full-time faculty members with best available exposures to ever-growing horizon of Computer Science and Engineering.

Electrical, Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering (EETE) education today has entered a transitional phase. EETE curricula around the globe is experiencing increasing specialization. On the other hand, diversity of EETE education is also increasingly underscoring its multi-disciplinary nature. Over the last decade, the traditional role played by an electrical and electronic engineer has changed quite significantly.

The courses and curricula are designed to enable the young people to enter into arena of activities or pursue higher study of professional destination. The aim of the university is not only to go through the examination, but also to train them to become productive members of the society.

The University launched the educational activities of the Department of Pharmacy from January 2006 under the Faculty of Science. The new department is well equipped with its laboratories and library facilities.

Pharmacy is the branch of medical science that embraces a thorough study of all the aspects of drugs including their discovery, synthesis, formulation, manufacturing, quality assurance, storage, distribution, dispensing, counseling and so on.

Dhaka International University is the first ever private university in Bangladesh to offer Bachelor of Law (Honours) Degree. Since its inception, the curriculum for the Bachelor of Law (Honours) Degree has been evolved through learning and experience oriented process. Within this process the curriculum has been developed to provide students with a high level of competency in legal profession.

English Language department of Dhaka International University (DIU) started functioning from the day one of the university’s establishment in 1995. Its primary objective is to analyze the language need of the students, design and update necessary courses time to time. The institute sequentially offers three courses- Pre-English, Basic English and Composition and Communication Skills for School of Business and Pre-English, English I and English II for School of science and Engineering.

Despite dazzling developments in science and technology, the importance of Social Sciences has not diminished. Rather, since man, whom Aristotle described as a social animal, is at the root of all changes that have been so rapidly taking place around the world for the last half a century or so, these disciplines have acquired a new significance.
